About the role

Religious Education plays a vital role in our vision of developing responsible, respectful and resilient young people. We are seeking an ambitious and passionate Subject Leader for RE who can inspire students through engaging teaching whilst leading the continued development of a high-quality curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding classroom practitioner who is ready to take the next step in leadership or an experienced middle leader looking to make a lasting impact within a supportive and ambitious academy. Bradford Academy's vision is centred on helping every learner achieve their full potential spiritually, personally and academically.

As Subject Leader for RE, you will champion your subject across Key Stages 3 and 4, working closely with the Head of Department to drive standards, curriculum development and student outcomes. You will help lead teaching and learning within the department, support colleagues through coaching and collaboration and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be committed to ensuring that every student receives an engaging and challenging RE education that broadens perspectives and encourages thoughtful exploration of faith, ethics and the world around them.

Bradford Academy is a diverse and inclusive all-through Church of England academy serving children from the age of two to sixteen. Staff benefit from support, challenge and investment, with wellbeing and professional development at the heart of our approach. We are looking for someone who shares our moral purpose, embraces our ethos and has the determination to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people and the wider community.
