About the role

£18.00–£20.00 per hour
A Christchurch-based engineering company is looking to add an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to its workshop team.
This is a hands-on and varied position, ideal for someone who enjoys more than simply setting and running one machine. You’ll have the opportunity to work across different areas of the workshop and continue developing your machining skills.
The Role
- Programme, set and operate CNC milling machines
- Use Fanuc-controlled machinery
- Read and work from detailed engineering drawings
- Complete first-off, sample and final inspections
- Adjust programmes, tooling and offsets when required
- Carry out deburring and general finishing work
- Provide support with turning operations when required
- Work as part of the wider workshop team to achieve production and quality targets
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous experience programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Good knowledge of Fanuc controls
- The ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings
- A sound understanding of tooling, machining processes and inspection
- A practical, team-oriented approach to work
- The flexibility to get involved with different tasks across the workshop
- £18–£20 per hour, depending on experience
