Y1/2 Primary Teacher

Provide Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1/2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the DN21 area, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 (KS1).

This is a full-time, temporary position, offering the opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching within a supportive and well-structured school environment.

The school has a strong focus on pupil progress and inclusive learning, with a collaborative staff team and a positive learning culture. This is an excellent opportunity for a Year 1/2 Teacher looking to develop their practice within a supportive and engaging setting.

Year 1/2 Teacher Role Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, particularly Years 1 and 2
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A proactive and reflective approach to teaching
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply

The Successful Year 1/2 Teacher Will

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
• Support pupils in developing their early reading, writing and mathematical skills
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO and school leadership
• Support pupils in developing confidence, independence and a love of learning
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
