Sheet Metal Worker

Alcester

Monday to Thursday – Monday to Wednesday 16:30 – 02:30 & Thursday 16:30 – 01:30

Up to £40,000 – Dependent on experience

Our client is a precision engineering specialist that manufactures custom products to the energy, defence and aerospace industry sectors. They are currently seeking experienced Sheet Metal Workers to join their team. As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will be manufacturing and finishing custom sheet metal products to tight tolerances.

Sheet Metal Worker Responsibilities:

–          Work to technical drawings and to tight tolerances

–          Use measuring equipment to inspect and verify components against engineering drawings and specifications.

–          Polish metal components to the required surface finish.

–          Dress and blend welds to customer and engineering specifications.

–          Contribute to continuous improvement activities and support a culture of quality and operational excellence.

Sheet Metal Worker Requirements:

–          Previous experience in sheet metal finishing, fettling, deburring, polishing or a similar manufacturing environment preferred.

–          Previous experience working to tight tolerances.

–          Experienced in using precision measurement tools.

–          A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

–          Commitment to delivering right-first-time quality and minimising waste.

This Sheet Metal Worker position is based in Alcester and is commutable from Pershore, Evesham, Studley, Redditch, Worcester, Stratford-upon-Avon and Droitwich.
