Are you an experienced Business Development Manager looking for your next opportunity?
Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of integrated fire and security solutions to hire a Business Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business growth across fire and security disciplines, building long-term client relationships, and generating sustainable recurring revenue through the full sales cycle — from initial contact through to contract mobilisation.

Key Responsibilities
New Business Development: Proactively identify, target and convert prospective clients into long-term customers, securing high-value installation and service contracts across both public and private sectors.
Market Research & Analysis: Research market trends, customer needs and the competitive landscape to uncover new opportunities, working closely with the Group Sales Director to define and segment target markets.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Build and maintain trusted relationships from initial contact through to post-contract, managing key accounts and maximising cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the group's full service portfolio.
Sales Process & Pipeline Management: Manage the complete sales cycle with precision, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date pipeline, delivering tailored proposals, and negotiating contracts to achieve revenue and margin targets.
Reporting & Performance: Track and analyse KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business development activities, providing clear progress updates and outcomes reporting to senior management.
Experience & Qualifications Required
Essential:
Experience: Demonstrable track record as a Business Development Manager or senior sales professional within the fire and security industry.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of fire and security systems and services, including installation projects and ongoing service and maintenance contracts; familiarity with systems such as Gent, Advanced, Honeywell, Texecom, Genetec or equivalent.
Project/Operational Scope: Proven ability to win and manage high-value contracts across both public and private sector clients, with experience navigating complex procurement and tender processes.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentation skills; commercially focused with a disciplined approach to pipeline management and a strong drive to generate growth.
Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.
Desirable:
Certifications: FIA membership or equivalent industry body affiliation; CSCS or SIA-related credentials beneficial.
Sector Background: Prior experience selling into critical infrastructure, commercial, or large-scale enterprise environments; established network of contacts within the London fire and security market.

Competitive Base Salary: Up to £50,000 basic, OTE £70,000+
