About the role
Construction Subcontract Engineer – Talacre Purpose of the position: As Construction Subcontract Engineer you will report to the Subcontract Manager. You will ensure the correct development, management and improvement of new scopes on Mechanical Work – West and Buildings and E&I Works throughout the engineering and development phases (EPIC Projects) of our ENI Liverpool Bay Project (Decommissioning & Carbon Capture and Storage). How can you support us? Here are below your responsibilities:Ensure the procedure of Subcontract Administration is implemented and followed by SubcontractorsInitiate letters and notices to Subcontractors as needed and ensure that the letters and notices from the Subcontractors are appropriately replied toMonitor Subcontractor’s performanceReview and validate the progress payment submitted by SubcontractorsProvide to project management team support in the identification of any variations and or claims with implications on project program and forecasts, if any (i.e. delays/costs)Analyse the issued Site Technical Queries, Site Instructions, Deviation Requests to both determine the relevant cost impact and lead the negotiation with Subcontractors for alignment on the priceEnsure that extra works, new unit prices, claims, back charges, liquidated damages and close out of the Subcontracts are performed / processed in accordance with the relevant procedureParticipate actively in change management and forecast analysisEnsure the issuance of Completion CertificatesEnsure the configuration of the contracts/price lists in Colav (Work Progress Management System), and of the respective revisionsProvide guidance to Subcontractors in the correct submission of Work Progress (WP), New Prices (NP) and Order Changes (CWO)Support subcontractors in submitting Back-Ups (documentation accompanying WP, NP and CWO)Check and inform the Subcontract Manager on the coherence between physical progress and economic progressExecute the Forecasts Analysis What are we looking for?Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Oil & Gas or Energy sectors, preferably on large construction projects. Onshore experience is mandatory.
