Salary: £25,583 pro rata (actual salary: £17,922)
Hours: 30 per week, Term Time Only plus 1 week

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking teaching assistant to provide support for teaching and learning in our friendly and inclusive school. The successful candidate will have a clear commitment to promoting the well-being of the children in our care and to raising standards.
St Margaret Clitherow’s Catholic Primary School is part of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust, a family of 32 primary schools, and 6 secondary schools. With more than 12,300 pupils and 1,500 plus staff, the Trust is now one of the largest Catholic Multi Academy Trusts in the UK.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who:
- Will promote our friendly Catholic ethos, and will work as part of a committed team.
- Will be an excellent practitioner with high expectations for children in their care.
- Can provide tailored support to a child in both the classroom and individual settings.
- Will have a commitment to inclusion, innovation and creativity
- Has experience of supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including children on the autistic spectrum.
- Can work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to support pupil progress.
- Can use initiative to adapt approaches in order to support a child’s learning needs.
- Will contribute towards creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Can support pupils with personal care and physical needs where required.
- Has the ability to form positive, professional and effective relationships with colleagues across school, other professionals and parents/carers.
