Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer
Location: Bournemouth
Length: Long-term rolling contract
Rate: £220 per day + expense package
Are you a Fire and Security Service Engineer based in Bournemouth or the surrounding south coast area looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out service, maintenance, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems across a range of commercial and residential sites throughout the south coast. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and PPM on fire alarm systems in line with manufacturer specifications and relevant standards.
* Diagnose and resolve faults on fire alarm systems, ensuring sites are restored to full operational status in a timely manner.
* Complete accurate service reports and site documentation following each visit.
* Liaise professionally with site contacts and clients, providing clear updates on works carried out.
* Ensure all work is completed in compliance with current fire safety regulations and industry best practice.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems in a field-based role.
* Hands-on experience with a range of fire alarm panels from manufacturers such as Advanced, Gent, Notifier, or Hochiki.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
* Full UK driving licence, as travel across the south coast will be required.
* FIA Level 3 or equivalent fire alarm qualification (desirable).
* CSCS/ECS card (desirable).
