HGV Tanker Driver | HGV Class 2 Driver Operator | Tanker Driver Operator | Drainage Operative | Jetting Operative | HPWJ Operator | Aylesford Location: Aylesford, Kent Salary: OTE £60,000+ per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Schedule: Monday–Friday + Weekend Work Available Additional: Enhanced Weekday Overtime | Further Enhanced Overtime – Sunday & Bank Holidays The Role We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Combination Tanker Driver Operator to join a well-established and growing specialist engineering business based in Aylesford. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading providers of water pump solutions, drainage services, and wastewater management systems, supporting a wide range of commercial and industrial customers across the region. The successful candidate will carry out a range of specialist services including cleaning, clearance, maintenance, and repair of drainage and pumping assets, whilst operating high-pressure water jetting equipment and maintaining the highest standards of health & safety and customer service. This role would suit an experienced HGV Tanker Driver / Drainage Operative / Jetting Operative looking for strong earning potential, regular overtime, and long-term career progression. Key Responsibilities • Carry out cleaning, clearance, maintenance, and repair of customer drainage and wastewater assets • Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment (HPWJ) in line with strict safety procedures • Complete drainage and tanker operations across commercial and industrial sites • Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures • Participate in an on-call rota to support emergency response services • Maintain vehicles and equipment to operational and safety standards • Work flexibly across early starts, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight stays when required Key Requirements • Minimum HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence • Minimum 2 years’ HGV driving experience • High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ) experience and valid HPWJ ticket – Essential • Relevant Health & Safety certifications such as CSCS, EUSR, Street Works, or HPWJ • Strong technical understanding and problem-solving ability • Positive, flexible, and proactive attitude • Willingness to work unsociable hours and participate in an on-call rota • Full UK Driving Licence • Must live within 45 minutes of the Aylesford depot Salary & Benefits • OTE £60,000 + • Uncapped overtime opportunities • Enhanced weekday overtime rates • Further enhanced overtime rates – Sundays & Bank Holidays • Monday–Friday working pattern • Weekend work and on-call rota available • Company pension scheme • 28 days holiday • Company events • Employee discount scheme • Ongoing Health & Safety and technical training • Personal development plans • Genuine long-term career progression opportunities To Note – Should you have not heard back up to 14 days from the date of your application, please assume that you have been unsuccessful.
