Transport Clerk – PM Shift

We are looking for an experienced Transport Clerk to join our busy furniture warehouse and transport operation.

The successful candidate will have previous transport administration experience and be confident managing the day-to-day challenges of a fast-paced delivery operation. You will play a key role in keeping deliveries running smoothly, monitoring live routes and dealing with transportation issues as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor live delivery routes and track vehicles throughout the day.

• Liaise with drivers, customers and internal warehouse teams to ensure deliveries run on schedule.

• Deal with live transport issues, including delays, failed deliveries, access problems and customer queries.

• Communicate with drivers and provide clear instructions to resolve issues quickly.

• Update delivery schedules and transport systems with accurate information.

• Coordinate changes to routes and delivery times where required.

• Keep customers and relevant departments informed of delays or changes.

• Complete general transport administration, including paperwork, records and delivery documentation.

• Escalate significant issues to management when required.

• Help ensure the transport operation remains efficient, organised and customer-focused.

About You

You must have previous experience in a transport administration role and understand the pressures of managing a busy delivery operation.
