Electrical Installation Design Engineer

Rate: Negotiable -  £40-£50 per hour Umbrella - inside IR35 

We are currently recruiting for Electrical Installation Design Engineers to support a long-term programme with Leonardo in Yeovil.

We’re looking for experienced Electrical Design Engineers with hands-on experience in electrical installation design, ideally within aerospace, defence or another highly regulated engineering environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical installations and associated engineering documentation.
• Produce and modify electrical installation designs using CATIA V5 or Siemens NX Electrical Workbench.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
• Work closely with electrical, mechanical and systems engineering teams.
• Support design reviews, technical queries and resolution of engineering issues.

Key requirements:

• Strong experience in electrical installation/design engineering.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 or Siemens NX Electrical Workbench.
• Good understanding of electrical installation principles and engineering practices.
• Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and documentation.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
• Aerospace/defence experience would be highly advantageous.

This is a long-term contract opportunity with Leonardo in Yeovil, offering 2–3 days per week on site, with a negotiable rate inside IR35.
