An excellent opportunity for a talented Architect to join a well-established, award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy in Bristol. The consultancy has been operating successfully for over 50 years, with an outstanding reputation for staff retention, many employees have built long term careers, supported by structured mentoring and clear progression routes.
Joining an established Retail & Commercial team, you’ll be working on an exciting programme of projects for major national clients, with a particular focus on the front end design stages. The work is fast paced and varied, offering the opportunity to take projects from initial brief and concept through planning and detailed design.
They are ideally looking for an Architect with around 5+ years PQE, although they are open to considering different levels for the right person. The key is someone who is genuinely design focused, enjoys the earlier stages of projects and can confidently develop a brief into a strong, commercially viable design solution.
The Role:
- Working predominantly across RIBA Stages 0–3
- Developing initial concepts, feasibility studies and design proposals
- Taking client briefs and translating them into creative, commercially considered schemes
- Producing and coordinating planning information
- Working closely with clients, consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team
- Contributing to a busy programme of retail and commercial projects
- Supporting projects as they progress into the later stages where required
- ARB registered Architect
- Ideally around 5+ years PQE, although other experience levels will be considered
- Strong design ability with experience across the early project stages
- Good understanding of UK planning and Building Regulations
- Confident communicating with clients and wider consultant teams
- Revit experience is preferred
- Retail or commercial experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced project environment
