Key Roles & Responsibilities
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with diverse needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, or SEMH.
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) in close collaboration with the class teacher and SENDCo.
Assist in adapting classroom resources and sensory tools to make learning fully accessible.
Support emotional regulation, social communication, and confidence through positive reinforcement.
Assist with pupil supervision during movement transitions, break times, and sensory breaks.
Requirements for the Role
Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND) in school or care settings.
A patient, warm, and highly adaptable approach to managing varied sensory and behavioral needs.
Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics).
A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, collaborative approach to teamwork.
