Randstad Education Leeds provides specialist guidance to help SEND support staff secure placements in primary settings across South Yorkshire. Located in North Sheffield near Hillsborough and Chapeltown, this primary school is recognised for its outstanding pastoral care and specialized nurture groups. The setting includes modern sensory areas and works with an interdisciplinary team to support children with varied learning needs.


Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary pupil with complex needs, such as ASD, ADHD, or SEMH.

  • Implement structured individual education and behavior plans in partnership with the SENDCo.

  • Assist in adapting classroom resources and activities to make learning accessible and engaging.

  • Support emotional regulation and promote pupil independence through structured routines and praise.

  • Record student progress observations and report insights directly to the teaching team.


Requirements for the Role
  • Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND), in care or school settings.

  • A patient, warm, and highly resilient personality capable of managing varied learning needs.

  • Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics).

  • An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness to undergo a check).

  • Strong team player skills with a proactive approach to daily school life.
