Location: Blackpool, Lancashire

Pay Rate: £39.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Full-Time Locum Assignment
Working Pattern: Hybrid working with flexible diary management

Blackpool Council is recruiting an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their busy, highly rewarding Supporting Our Children Team. Offering a competitive rate of £39.00 per hour, this role is perfect for a dedicated practitioner who thrives in a high-standard, highly supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Relational Casework: Build strong, meaningful, and trusting relationships with care-experienced children, young people, and their families.
Permanency & Care Planning: Manage a statutory caseload of looked-after children, driving robust care plans, pathway planning, and permanency goals.
Autonomy & Diary Management: Manage your own schedule, visits, and statutory commitments effectively while maintaining high standards of practice.
Team Collaboration: Work both autonomously and as an active, collaborative member of a close-knit social work team.
High-Standard Practice: Strive for outstanding outcomes for every child in line with Blackpool's high standards and expectations.
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications & SWE: Recognised Social Work qualification with active Social Work England (SWE) registration.
Statutory Experience: Proven post-qualifying experience within Children's Social Care, specifically in Children Looked After (CLA / LAC), Care Experienced, or Long-Term Safeguarding teams.
Child-Centred Passion: A genuine commitment and passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people.
Mobility: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits and placement reviews across Blackpool and surrounding areas.
