Role: Critical Facilities Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Shift: First Half Nights 

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in a live data center environment
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and emergency response for critical systems (UPS, generators, HVAC, fire suppression, etc.)
• Monitor BMS and EPMS systems to ensure optimal performance
• Support change management, incident response, and escalation procedures
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors during maintenance and upgrades
• Maintain detailed logs, reports, and compliance documentation

What You’ll Bring:

• 3+ years of experience in critical facilities or data center operations
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (HVAC, UPS, CRAC, generators)
• Familiarity with CMMS, BMS, and EPMS platforms
• Ability to work independently on night shifts with a proactive mindset
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Certifications such as EPA, NFPA, or trade licenses are a plus
