Are you an experienced Security Systems Engineer looking for your next opportunity?
Technical Resources is partnering with a leading provider of integrated physical security solutions to hire a Security Systems Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of security systems across commercial and enterprise sites, ensuring reliable performance and full compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration: Install, commission, and configure security systems including CCTV, access control, and intruder detection across a variety of commercial sites.
Maintenance & Fault Resolution: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call-outs, diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
Stakeholder & Client Management: Liaise with clients, site managers, and subcontractors to coordinate site access, agree works programmes, and maintain strong working relationships.
Technical Oversight & Reporting: Produce accurate commissioning documentation, site reports, and handover packs in line with project requirements.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with relevant industry standards including BS EN 50132, BS 7858, and applicable Health & Safety regulations.
Experience & Qualifications Required
Essential:
Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Security Systems Engineer within the physical security industry.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with leading access control and CCTV platforms such as Genetec, Lenel, CCure, Milestone, or Axis.
Project/Operational Scope: Proven track record of delivering security installations and maintenance on commercial or enterprise sites.
Soft Skills: Strong fault-finding ability, clear written and verbal communication, and a professional approach to client-facing work.
Mobility & Eligibility: Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.
Desirable:
Certifications: SIA licence, CSCS card, ECS card, or NSI/SSAIB-recognised qualifications.
Sector Background: Prior experience on critical infrastructure, data centre, or large-scale commercial security contracts.
