Cobden Primary School is a forward-thinking school, where children are at the center of everything we do. We have high expectations of pupils and our aim is to support our children to achieve their best academically, as well become well-rounded, positive and socially adept individuals by the time they leave our school. This vacancy will suit candidates who are enthusiastic, highly motivated, and have the best outcomes for children at heart. Knowledge and/or experience of pupils with SEN is preferable but not essential.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • A passion for supporting children to learn.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a team with staff, parents and outside agencies.
  • Energy and enthusiasm for this exciting challenge.
  • High expectations of children.
  • Knowledge and experience of the national curriculum.
  • A commitment to continuing professional development.

Cobden Primary School can offer:

  • An enriched curriculum that is matched to pupils’ needs.
  • A supportive staff team who work well with each other to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • A commitment to your professional development with a range of opportunities to further your career, including a close working partnership with schools across the trust to further support professional development.

This post will suit candidates who are highly motivated and have the best outcomes for children at heart. The successful candidate will be joining a like-minded and friendly school team. Please note, the interview process may involve shortlisted candidates delivering an activity to a group of pupils.

Prior to employment, the successful candidate will be subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references, medical clearance, a check of the ISA barred list, prohibition order and DBS Enhanced Disclosure, verification of identity and eligibility to work in the UK as well as verification of qualifications and professional status where applicable. The successful candidate will abide by Owlcotes Multi-Academy Trust’s policies and procedures and Cobden Primary School’s safeguarding and child protection policies. This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all children, and expects our staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We encourage candidates to visit the school before applying. Please contact Zena Hunter if you wish to make an appointment.
