About the role
Contract Duration: Approximately 2 months, through the December stand-down
Hours: 35 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible
Compensation: Approximately $53–$61/hour incorporated, depending on classification and retiree status
Security: Active Bruce Power security clearance required
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist to support Bruce Power’s Engineering and Technical Training team in developing an Equipment Performance Division Knowledge and Case Study Library.
This project will create a searchable, system-based repository of technical information, operating experience and case studies for Engineering, Maintenance and Technical Training staff. The library will help new engineers and mechanical maintainers learn plant systems and access relevant lessons learned.
Key Responsibilities

Design and build a searchable knowledge repository, organizing information by plant system.

Research, collect and categorize operating experience, engineering reports, training materials, flowsheets, significant condition reports, failure analyses and event investigations.

Develop clear case studies covering equipment failures, design issues, lessons learned and success stories.

Establish a consistent structure for indexing, tagging and retrieving information.

Work with engineering, maintenance and training staff to identify useful content and confirm technical accuracy.

Compile relevant third-party vendor contacts and areas of expertise to support equipment reliability.

Explore potential integration with REX and the division’s proficiency toolkit.

Provide practical guidance for maintaining and updating the library.
Qualifications

Previous experience as a Bruce Power employee or contractor, with familiarity with plant systems, terminology and technical documentation.

Experience developing databases, searchable repositories, document libraries or knowledge management tools.

Strong computer skills and the ability to organize large volumes of technical information.

Strong research, technical writing and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and deliver a defined project within a short timeframe.

An engineering, mechanical maintenance or technical training background is an asset.

Active Bruce Power security clearance and availability to start promptly are required.
