The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and pupils throughout the school day. Duties may include:
- Supporting pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom preparation
- Supporting children’s academic, social, and emotional development
- Encouraging pupil engagement and positive behaviour
- Providing additional support to pupils with SEN where required
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
To be considered for this Teaching Assistant position, applicants must:
- Have recent UK-based experience working within a primary school
- Be confident supporting children across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a positive, proactive, and flexible approach
- Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Be able to provide references that cover recent employment history
