Senior Project Engineer

Hybrid Working - 3 x a week on site
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Engineer to join a major UK infrastructure programme, supporting the delivery and integration of complex railway systems.
The successful candidate will:

Provide technical coordination, assurance and engineering support across the project lifecycle.

Coordinate design, construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
-
Ensure engineering deliverables comply with technical requirements, standards, specifications and safety regulations.

Manage technical interfaces between contractors, engineering disciplines and wider infrastructure packages.
-
Identify, communicate and manage technical risks, assumptions and engineering changes.
-
Support system integration and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.

Review contractor deliverables and coordinate evidence required for key project assurance and acceptance stages.

Support duties associated with CDM, NEC supervision and technical governance.

Promote engineering best practice, innovation and efficient delivery.

Work collaboratively with contractors, project teams, technical specialists and stakeholders in a complex and rapidly changing environment.
About You
You will have:
-
Significant experience within a relevant engineering discipline, including design, installation, testing or commissioning.

Experience managing engineering standards, safety and technical risks on major projects or programmes.

Strong understanding of relevant UK regulations, engineering standards and assurance processes.

Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and stakeholder-management skills.

Experience managing technical interfaces and competing project priorities.
-
Chartered Engineer status, professional membership, or equivalent experience.
