About the role

The Diocese of Nottingham is looking to appoint a new Headteacher to this high performing Catholic Primary School.

St Anne's is a primary school in Buxton with close links between school, home and parish. Our Mission is to instil a deep sense of belonging between all three. We are a welcoming and friendly school and we view our parents as partners in ensuring the very best provision for our children. We strive to keep our parents very well informed about their children’s wellbeing and progress at school and we encourage them to be actively involved in their children’s learning. We place great importance on honesty and clear communication between all members of our school community.

You will focus your leadership skills on both the Catholic life of the school and standards of teaching and learning. Working with the school community, you will be responsible for the all-round spiritual, social and academic development of all pupils.

We would also welcome the opportunity to explore an Executive Headteacher arrangement with a suitably experienced Headteacher who has a proven track record of successful school improvement

You will:

  • Be a practising Catholic with a strong faith commitment and a clear vision for Catholic education.
  • Ensure the teachings and example of Jesus Christ are at the heart of school life.
  • Place safeguarding at the centre of all decision-making and practice.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of successful leadership, management, and school improvement.
  • Provide the vision, motivation, and drive to build on the school's existing successes and achievements.
  • Be committed to enabling every pupil to fulfil their unique potential.
  • Be a visible, positive leader who builds strong relationships with staff, pupils, parents, governors, CMAT colleagues, and external partners.
  • Work collaboratively with the CMAT, Governors, and Senior Leadership Team to develop and deliver a compelling, faith-centred vision that drives improvement.
  • Build high-performing teams and foster a collaborative culture.
  • Inspire and motivate both yourself and others to achieve excellence.
  • Adapt effectively to change while maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of audiences and stakeholders.
