What does the job entail?On behalf of Warwickshire County Council, Pertemps Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer to join the Highways Development Management team. Working alongside other Business Support Officers, you will provide administrative support to a team of 24 officers responsible for managing development proposals affecting Warwickshire's highways network.
You will achieve this by:
- Managing the Section 38 inbox and responding to enquiries.
- Processing Section 38 and Section 278 Agreement requests, including associated payments.
- Processing Section 38 and Section 278 Technical Approval applications.
- Managing the highway consultation inbox.
- Recording and processing consultations received from District and Borough Local Planning Authorities via Smartsheet.
- Acting as the first point of contact for enquiries and directing non-development management queries to the appropriate service area.
- Managing the receipt and financial administration of pre-application advice requests from developers.
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting the smooth running of the team.
- Previous administration or business support experience.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience managing inboxes and processing high volumes of information.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and work with databases.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively to deadlines.
- A proactive and professional approach to work.
