PQE: 8+
LOCATION: Hertfordshire
SALARY: £120,000+ (DOE)
THE ROLE:
You will advise high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated, tax-efficient estate planning and succession matters, helping clients protect their wealth and plan for the future. Your work will include complex trusts, lifetime trust structures, deeds of variation, declarations of trust, professional trustee matters and the tax implications of estates, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
Offering significant autonomy and client contact, you will become a trusted adviser on complex and sensitive matters while also contributing to the growth of this highly successful Private Client practice through relationship management, business development, and new client opportunities.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are welcomed from experienced Private Client Solicitors with strong expertise in trusts, tax and estate planning, and the confidence to advise high-net-worth clients on complex matters. STEP qualification is advantageous, alongside a strong understanding of the tax implications of trusts and estate planning. Excellent client management, drafting, and communication skills are essential, together with a commercially aware approach and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients, referrers, and other third party professional advisers.
THE FIRM:
Join a progressive, Legal 500-recognised firm where people, relationships and long-term success are at the heart of its approach. The established Private Client team is a key area of strategic growth, offering experienced lawyers the autonomy to make a visible impact alongside the support and platform to develop their practice. With a collaborative and inclusive culture, the firm is committed to achieving strong commercial results while delivering positive outcomes for its clients, people, and wider community.
THE PACKAGE:
A competitive salary and benefits package, alongside genuine autonomy, flexible working, and high-quality Private Client work. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping the continued growth and direction of the department while developing your own practice.
