The Governors of Melbourne Infant and Nursery School wish to appoint a Teaching and Learning Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term basis, starting as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will work within one of our KS1 classes; working closely with the class teachers to plan and deliver teaching activities and assessments, as well as prepare learning resources. You will also be required to undertake other classroom duties to support the class teachers and be able to work co-operatively within a team.

- Have a calm and caring nature;
- Hold, or are working towards, a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification;
We would love to hear from you!
The working pattern for this role will be 6 hours 30 minutes per week; 8.45am-12 noon Thursdays and Fridays.
We also have a vacancy for a qualified Teaching Assistant working 7 hours per week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons, until August 2027. Candidates are very welcome to apply for both positions should they wish; however, applications for one position only are also very welcome.
We offer you the opportunity:
- to be part of a team of friendly and hardworking staff and Governors
- to work in a forward thinking, well-resourced learning environment
- to work in a happy environment where all children and staff are encouraged to thrive
In our school everyone is valued and has the support of a dedicated team of staff, parents and governors.
If you are interested in becoming a key member of our friendly team, then we would love to hear from you; either by a phone call for an informal chat on [phone removed] or an email to [email removed].
Visits to the schools are welcomed.
