The exact responsibilities will depend on whether you choose day-to-day supply or a longer-term position. As a Primary Teacher, you could be: Taking responsibility for a class within EYFS, KS1 or KS2 Delivering creative and engaging lessons across the curriculum Picking up existing planning and ensuring continuity of learning Planning sequences of lessons during longer-term assignments Adjusting activities so that all pupils can access and enjoy their learning Providing appropriate challenge and support for different abilities Creating clear expectations and positive classroom routines Assessing learning and identifying next steps Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs Working closely with Teaching Assistants to maximise classroom support Encouraging children to become confident and independent learners Ensuring safeguarding and pupil welfare remain at the heart of your practice  What are we looking for? Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) A minimum of 6 months’ UK classroom teaching experience Secure knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum Experience within EYFS, Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 The ability to quickly establish yourself within a new classroom Confident and consistent behaviour management Ability to adapt teaching for different abilities and learning needs A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching Strong communication and organisational skills References covering your most recent 24 months Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service or willingness to have one processed  Location and Package Lichfield and surrounding areas £140.00 – £253.00 per day Opportunities starting from October 2026 Day-to-day, short-term and long-term assignments Full-time, part-time and flexible work available  If you are a Primary Teacher who still loves being in the classroom but would like more control over what your next teaching role looks like, we would love to speak with you.
