About the role

TEACHING ASSISTANT - LEVEL 2

(plus SEND Allowance)

To commence as soon as possible 

Pay Band D / Scale Point 5-6

£26,427- £26,847 per annum pro rata, plus SEN allowance of £1,539 per annum pro rata

(Actual Salary: - £19,481 - £19,791 per annum – SEN £1,134 per annum)

30 Hours per week / 5 days per week / 46 weeks per year 

The Governors of St Joseph the Worker Catholic Primary School wish to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join the school and work as part of a class team providing support to pupils with additional needs. 

The successful candidate will be: 

  • Suitably qualified, highly committed, enthusiastic and show initiative
  • Experienced in supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1 to 1 basis to support learning
  • Have experience and understanding of managing sensory needs of children
  • Committed to raising standards, ensuring children achieve their full potential
  • Adaptable and able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
  • Committed to working in partnership with colleagues, other professionals and families
