About the role:
EdStaff are recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to work within a mainstream primary school. The role is to support a pupil with SEND additional needs and provide a consistent, tailored, and adapted approach in education.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about breaking barriers to learning and supporting pupils to thrive in education. This role is long term and full time within a school in the Haydock area of St Helens.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing high quality support with continuous provision within an EYFS classroom
- Supporting with pupil observations and monitoring progress
- Supporting pupil with additional needs in line with their EHCP
- Promote positive behaviour
- Provide tailored learning opportunities for pupils based on their individual learning needs
- Work closely with class teachers and other education professionals, including the SENDCo
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguardin
Essential requirements:
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience working within a UK Primary School or nursery setting
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
