Role



As Assistant Project Manager based in Tamworth, you'll support the Development Team in the successful delivery of Affordable Housing and Specialist Supported Housing schemes from inception through to practical completion.

Working across NEC and JCT contracts, you'll assist with stakeholder engagement, programme coordination, and construction project delivery to help ensure every scheme is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

Responsibilities



As Assistant Project Manager in Tamworth, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the delivery of Affordable Housing and Specialist Supported Housing schemes from feasibility through to handover
Assisting with the development and maintenance of project programmes, helping to manage risks, costs, and milestones
Supporting communication with registered providers, local planning authorities, contractors, and specialist care operators
Assisting with contractor and consultant appointments, procurement activities, and contract administration under JCT and NEC frameworks
Monitoring compliance with planning conditions, building regulations, CDM 2015, and Homes England funding requirements
Preparing regular project status updates and reports for internal leadership and external partners
Working closely with acquisition, planning, and finance colleagues to support a growing development pipeline
Attending site visits, project meetings, and stakeholder workshops across the UK as required


Person



To be successful in this Assistant Project Manager role in Tamworth, you will bring experience or exposure to construction project delivery within residential development, Affordable Housing, or Specialist Supported Housing.

Experience in an Assistant Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Employers Agent, or similar role within the built environment
Understanding of the construction and development delivery process
Ability to manage multiple tasks, stakeholders, and project priorities effectively
Knowledge or exposure to JCT or NEC contract frameworks
Familiarity with Affordable Housing or Homes England funding programmes is advantageous
Experience within Specialist Supported Housing, Extra Care, or supported living schemes is desirable
Degree, HNC/HND in Construction Management or a related discipline preferred
Working towards or interested in professional membership with RICS, CIOB, APM, or equivalent
A collaborative, proactive, and solutions-focused approach
Easily commutable to Tamworth and willing to travel to sites across the UK as required
