Pink Tile Education is supporting a welcoming secondary school in the Bognor Regis area who are looking for a dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate who is considering a career in teaching, education, youth work or a related field. You will gain valuable hands-on experience within a secondary school while working alongside experienced teachers and supporting pupils with their learning and development.
Full-time and part-time roles are available, with working hours between 8:00am and 3:30pm. You will be supported by the school and Pink Tile Education throughout your placement, giving you the opportunity to build your confidence, develop your classroom skills and gain a real insight into life within a secondary school.
Day to day, you will:

Support pupils in the classroom, helping them stay focused, engaged and confident with their learning.

Work alongside teachers and support staff, assisting with lessons and providing additional support to pupils who may benefit from extra guidance.

Provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping pupils develop their understanding, confidence and independence across different subjects.

Build positive relationships with pupils, acting as a friendly and encouraging role model and supporting their wider personal development.

Support pupils who may face barriers to learning, offering patience, reassurance and encouragement to help them overcome challenges.

Assist with classroom activities and resources, helping teachers create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Gain valuable insight into teaching and education, developing practical experience that can support your future career ambitions.

What we’re looking for:

A degree or equivalent qualification, or someone who is currently completing their studies.

A genuine passion for working with young people and an interest in education.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Confidence in building positive relationships with secondary-aged pupils.

A patient, approachable and enthusiastic nature.

Someone who is reliable, adaptable and keen to learn.

The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive school team.

Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.

A genuine interest in potentially pursuing a career in teaching or education.
