Machine Operator – Three-Shift Rotation – Wednesbury

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Machine Operator to join our well-established client based in Wednesbury on an ongoing basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within an established and supportive business.

This role would suit candidates with experience as a Skilled Machine Operator, Manufacturing Operative, Production Operative or Steel Production Operative.

ONGOING WORK • UP TO £24.28 PER HOUR • WEEKLY PAY • CAREER PROGRESSION

Shifts

 • Weekly rotating three-shift pattern – shifts are not fixed
 • 06:00 – 14:00 Monday to Thursday and 06:00 – 12:00 Friday
 • 14:00 – 22:00 Monday to Thursday and 12:00 – 18:00 Friday
 • 22:00 – 06:00 Monday to Thursday and 18:00 – 00:00 Friday

Rates of Pay

 • £13.19 per hour – AM and PM shifts
 • £15.82 per hour – Night shifts
 • £18.88 per hour – Overtime 1
 • £24.28 per hour – Overtime 2

Day-to-Day Duties

As a Machine Operator, your duties will include:

 • Operating machinery within a steel production environment safely and efficiently
 • Loading and unloading machinery
 • Monitoring production processes and machine performance
 • Carrying out manual handling duties as required
 • Supporting the movement of goods around the production area
 • Conducting basic quality checks on finished products
 • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
 • Following all health and safety procedures

Essential Skills

To be successful as a Machine Operator, you will need:

 • Previous machine operating experience, ideally within the steel industry
 • Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment
 • Ability to carry out manual handling duties
 • Good reliability and a strong work ethic
 • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
 • Strong attention to detail
 • Commitment to health and safety standards
