Salary – up to £40,000
This is your opportunity to join a leading commercial construction company who due to continued success are seeking for a Construction Buyer to join their team on a permanent full-time basis
About you…
- + 2 years of procurement, sourcing or buying experience in construction sector
Reporting to the Procurement Manager you will…
- Source, negotiate, and procure construction materials
- Manage the delivery of all material & plant to site
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
- Build, manage & maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, other construction professionals including site operatives.
- Identify and select reliable suppliers / contractors for live projects
- Ensuring all materials meet required technical specifications and quality standards.
- Work to ensure all supplier invoices are cleared for payment in a timely manner
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly checks to ensure all paperwork is up to date,
- Other adhoc duties
