About the role
Morson Edge currently have an opportunity for a Sustainment Controller to work on behalf of our aerospace client in Yeovil. This is an ongoing contract.
JOB PURPOSE
To deliver a full range of responsive, customer focused goods and services which: · Existing customers recognise as excellent and therefore wish to deal with us over a widening range of support services as their preferred supplier. · For potential customers will be a positive discriminator in procurement decisions relating to our products. · Provide turnover and growth as a result of excellent performance, through innovation of products, business processes and people.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
- Managing the sustainment of the NAWSARH in-scope equipment to ensure the availability of assets in accordance with the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Apply dedicated focus to KPI 2C - Delayed replenishment of Parts and the sustainment of the Norway Stock Distribution Plan (SDP) Support (where appropriate) to the Workshop Production Plan and general R2 requirements.
- Assist (where appropriate) to KPI 2B - Delayed Delivery of Parts and the timely provision of spare parts to mitigate aircraft and KPI 2 B risk. The role will necessitate engaging with both internal stakeholders and organisations to ensure timely delivery of the contracted service and outputs.
- Develop and maintain the customer relationships required to support the delivery of the contract, ensuring a close liaison is established with management representatives within the customer domain.
- Monitor UART (Unserviceable Asset Return Time) to ensure that it is maintained at the contracted level. Develop an efficient and effective relationship with the core MS organisation to ensure that present and future supply requirements are met. When material supply issues are encountered, ensure that you take ownership of the problem and drive all areas of the business to a satisfactory solution.
- Prepare specific reports, briefs and presentations as required. Achieve and (where appropriate) exceed the contracted service levels by continuous assessment of availability performance, inventory levels, process methodology and performance.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (essential/desirable)
- Have a sound knowledge of the Customers organisation structure, processes and procedures.
- Possess a detailed knowledge of the Customer’s systems - IES / Wingman.
- Have a comprehensive knowledge of the Material supply process from Supplier to Customer.
- Have 2 years’ experience in a supply related business / Military Discipline.
- Possess a detailed operating knowledge of supply process and systems.
- Be a capable communicator.
- Have the ability to interface and influence within the customer and company domain.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct multi-discipline discussions.
- Maintain a degree of awareness of the roles of the aircraft including spares and product knowledge.
- Be adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of a Service Delivery environment.
- Knowledge of rotary wing support operations, organisation and processes. Knowledge of Logistic and Material supply techniques.
- Knowledge of the Customer planning and operational activities relating to Material supply and inventory management.
Hours - 37 hours per week, 5 days
Holiday accrued for up to 37 hours per week worked
Overtime -Any overtime worked must be authorised
