Job Title Commercial Quantity SurveyorSummary We’re looking for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team. This role suits an individual with strong expertise in managing contracts, cost control, and project financial performance. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring contractual compliance, controlling variations, and driving profitability across key operations.Location and Working Pattern Office-based, 39 hours per weekClient Overview Our client is a leading organisation committed to delivering high-quality engineering and construction projects. They pride themselves on maintaining strong commercial control and building successful relationships with stakeholders throughout every stage of the project lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesManage and control project costs to ensure budgets and commercial targets are achievedAdminister and manage variations in line with contractual termsMonitor and report on project financial performance and forecastsProvide cost analysis and feedback to production teams to aid decision-makingIdentify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficienciesSupport the implementation of improved cost and time control processesInterpret and apply contract requirements effectively within project environmentsAssist in resolving commercial issues and discrepancies across project documentationWork closely with clients, engineers, and site teams to ensure commercial alignmentMust-have RequirementsDegree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related fieldStrong understanding of contract management and commercial principlesProven cost control, variation management, and financial reporting experiencePrevious experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing project environmentsAbility to interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong mathematical and analytical capabilityNice-to-have SkillsMembership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)Experience in resolving discrepancies between design, specification, and site conditionsThe NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
