About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Lead Estate Officer to join the Housing and Neighbourhoods Service within Sheffield City Council.

Are you highly motivated, enthusiastic and keen to assist the residents of Sheffield in keeping Neighbourhoods clean and safe?

We are looking for Lead Estate Officer to work as part of Sheffield City Council’s Housing and Neighbourhood Service, supporting the delivery of a quality Housing Service.

Location: the location is to be city wide, the role will initially be based at Central Area, however you will be expected to work in any Neighbourhood Team.

Are you a real people person? Able to work as part of a team? Are you hard working and have good communication skills and deliver excellent customer care? Do you hold a full driving licence?

You will need to show an understanding of numeracy and literacy skills and will use IT equipment to record your work.

To supervise the delivery of Estate Officer Services within an Area

You will be expected to drive a works vehicle and be in a position to carry out the physical demands of the role, which include Supervising Staff, monitoring 1-1’s and PDR’s also support with moving machinery and manual handling of bulky items, and general Block Cleaning Support and Estate Officer Support.

You will need to have the ability to work under pressure, meeting targets and deadlines, maintain accurate records and operate within policy and procedures with good administration skills.

You will work as part of a Neighbourhood housing team working closely with Neighbourhood officers to share intelligence on neighbourhood issues and to liaise with tenants in a courteous and friendly manner, and to support Housing Officers with walkabouts and other daily duties.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
