Autism Support Worker

Romford, London Affinity Partnerships Affinity Partnerships are seeking compassionate and dedicated Autism Support Workers to join a welcoming Special Educational Needs (SEN) School. The school supports pupils aged 4-18 years with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) and other complex learning needs. The Role As an Autism Support Worker, you will work closely with students, teachers and therapists to provide tailored support throughout the school day. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils with autism and additional learning needs in the classroom and around the school Assisting with personal care where required, ensuring dignity and respect at all times Supporting pupils during mealtimes Providing physical support, including moving and handling where necessary Promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviours Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff Helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environmentWhat Affinity Partnerships are Looking For We are looking for candidates who are: Patient, caring and enthusiastic Passionate about supporting children with autism and SEND Comfortable providing personal care and physical support where required Able to maintain professional boundaries while building positive relationships Reliable, adaptable and committed to making a differencePrevious experience supporting individuals with autism, SEND, care, youth work or support work is desirable but not essential.
