About the role
We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and adaptable Multi-Site Catering Supervisor to provide catering cover across our schools within the Trust during periods of staff absence, sickness, and vacancies.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong organisational and leadership skills, a passion for delivering high-quality food, and the ability to motivate and support catering teams in a variety of settings. Working across multiple sites, you will play a key role in ensuring that our catering services operate efficiently, economically, and in compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and nutritional standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, presentation, and service of meals, whilst maintaining high standards of customer service and ensuring the effective use of resources. Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work independently are essential, as no two days will be the same.
As Mulit site Catering supervisor you will support the kitchen team with the following
- Organise, supervise, and support Catering Assistants in their daily duties.
- Be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and service of meals.
- Ensure the efficient and cost-effective use of resources within the catering operation.
- Prepare and present food to a high standard, meeting statutory requirements and school expectations.
- Ensure all food preparation and presentation complies with current catering standards and food safety legislation.
- Order food supplies and raw materials, check deliveries, and ensure the correct storage of food items.
- Monitor food production to ensure recipes, portion sizes, and nutritional guidelines are consistently followed.
- Ensure the prompt and efficient service of meals, refreshments, and special functions.
- Support the delivery of promotional menus and themed catering events throughout the year.
- Manage catering activities within the agreed budget and identify opportunities to maximise value for money.
- Monitor customer feedback and report any compliments, concerns, or operational issues to the Catering Area Manager.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and health and safety across the kitchen and dining areas.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience working in a catering, kitchen, or food preparation environment.
- Possess good knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety, and food safety legislation.
- Be organised and able to manage stock, ordering, and budgets effectively.
- Have excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Be able to motivate and support a team to deliver an outstanding service.
- Be flexible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high standards.
