Scale: MPS / UPS with TLR2a plus a £5,000 recruitment allowance, payable for the first year of appointment

This is a great opportunity to come and work in our very highly rated secondary school in central Manchester. The role will lead and develop the KS5 Mathematics curriculum, supporting student achievement through effective teaching, assessment and intervention, managing KS5 staff performance, promoting enrichment opportunities and assisting the Head of Department in maintaining high standards across the Mathematics Department. • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant fields;
• An experienced, industrious and talented team player who believes in lifelong learning and has a passion for Mathematics;
• Knowledge and experience of teaching current national curriculum and able to lead KS5 Mathematics across different ability and age range;
• A proven track record as an excellent classroom practitioner, plan and teach lessons that provide a rich, enjoyable and challenging learning experience for students and to assess their progress;
• The talent, interpersonal skills and range of teaching & classroom behaviour management skills necessary to contribute to the success of the staff team;
• A desire to build productive professional relationships;
• The enthusiasm to develop this subject and the vision to extend the work already undertaken, which matching the National Curriculum;
