Class Teacher - Maternity Cover

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and inspiring Class Teacher to join the team at Bourton Meadow Academy on maternity cover.

This is a part-time position for 2 days per week, working as part of a supportive and collaborative year group team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching and learning, creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.

You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative and appropriately challenging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.

• Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment where children feel supported, valued and encouraged to succeed.

• Monitor, assess and record pupils’ progress and attainment, using this information to support and challenge their learning.

• Set high expectations for learning, behaviour and relationships, promoting a positive classroom culture.

• Work closely with colleagues, support staff and external professionals to ensure the needs of all pupils are met.

• Communicate positively with parents and carers and contribute to the wider life of the school.

• Contribute to the development of the curriculum and support the school’s vision, values and ethos.

• Take an active role in safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils.
