About the Role

About the Role

Are you an organised, proactive administrator who enjoys helping programmes and events run smoothly? Do you provide excellent service and keep accurate records while managing

competing priorities? If so, join the Queen Mary Academy and support our inclusive, high-quality educational development across Queen Mary University of London.

We are looking for an Education Programmes Administrator - Teaching Recognition & Awards to join us full-time on a fixed-term basis as maternity cover. Reporting to the Teaching

Recognition Programmes Manager, you will provide responsive administrative support across the Academy, focusing on teaching recognition and awards.

You will help organise workshops, writing retreats, drop-in clinics, panel meetings and staff development events. You will process applications for Advance HE Fellowship, the National

Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS), the Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) and the Student Enhanced Engagement and Development (SEED) Award. You will prepare

and circulate documentation, liaise with applicants, reviewers, mentors and panel members, record decisions and actions, issue correspondence and support practical arrangements.

The role also includes monitoring shared inboxes, maintaining records, updating guidance and promotional information, supporting meetings and events, producing basic data and reports,

and assisting colleagues during busy periods. You will work within established procedures, use judgement to resolve routine queries and refer more complex matters to colleagues.

About You

You will bring programme-administration experience, ideally in higher education or a professional-body setting, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. You will plan your

workload, meet deadlines and manage several tasks without losing accuracy.

You will communicate clearly and professionally in writing and in person, and be comfortable working with colleagues at different levels. Good Microsoft Office skills are important, particularly

Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience of events, records management, basic financial administration, websites or content-management systems would be useful. Above all, you will be

collaborative, flexible and willing to learn, with a practical approach to improving administrative processes and supporting colleagues.

comprehensive range of personal and professional development opportunities. In addition, we offer a range of work life balance and family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible

working arrangements, and campus facilities.

Queen Mary's commitment to our diverse and inclusive community is embedded in our appointments processes. Reasonable adjustments will be made at each stage of the recruitment
