The Role

Working closely with the Nurse Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the nursing team and maintaining the highest standards of care.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and leading the nursing team on a day-to-day basis
• Providing clinical guidance, mentorship and support to nursing staff
• Helping maintain excellent standards of care, compliance and clinical governance
• Completing audits and supporting health & safety and regulatory requirements
• Contributing to effective care planning and person-centred care
• Supporting staffing, rota management and team training
• Building strong relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals
• Supporting the Nurse Manager with the smooth running of the service
• Taking responsibility for the service in the Nurse Manager’s absence when required

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN and ideally have:

• At least 2 years’ senior nursing experience
• Experience within a care home or similar healthcare environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent organisational and decision-making abilities
• The confidence to balance clinical responsibilities with management duties
• A genuine passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality, person-centred care
