Provide Education is working in partnership with a school in Retford to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic SEMH Teacher for an ASAP start. This position offers the opportunity to join a well-established department and make a real impact on students’ learning and development.
The role is available on a full-time basis and offers up to £38,000 per annum. You will be required to work for 12 term time weeks through the agency before transitioning to the school on a permanent basis.

About the Role:
As a  Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, contributing to pupils’ academic, social and emotional development and liaising with other members of staff to promote learning. The school caters for children ages 5-19 and classes are based largely on academic level, rather than age. The students at the school have SEMH needs, Complex care needs, largely linked to previous trauma, ASC, ADHD and Speech and Language Needs. A Teacher experienced in this field is desired, however Teachers looking for a new path will also be considered. 

Key duties include:

• Planning and delivering lessons that support progress and attainment
• Creating a stimulating and supportive classroom environment
• Monitoring student achievement and providing effective feedback
• Following school policies relating to safeguarding and behaviour
• Working closely with departmental colleagues to support curriculum delivery

What We’re Looking For:

• Somebody with experience of Teaching within a SEND school or Alternative Provision or somebody with relevant Teaching experience and strong behaviour management
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate and engage learners of all abilities
• Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
