We’re looking for an experienced Floor Layer to join our team and play a vital role in maintaining and improving our customers’ homes. You’ll be working across Hampshire and the surrounding areas including Bournemouth, Salisbury, New Forest and Basingstoke.

What’s the role?

As a Floor Layer, you’ll carry out a wide range of flooring repairs and renewals in customers’ homes, from responsive repairs and void properties to larger planned maintenance projects.

No two days are the same. One day you could be installing safety flooring in a wet room, and the next fitting carpet and vinyl flooring to help prepare a property for a new customer moving in. You’ll be trusted to manage your own workload, deliver a high standard of workmanship, and provide an excellent experience for every customer you visit.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys doing a job properly. You’ll be confident working independently, solving problems on site, and delivering great results for customers.

·        Demonstrable experience of fitting a variety of floor coverings

·         Ability to identify different grades of carpet and vinyl

·         Knowledge of wet room flooring systems such as AKW products.

·        Experience of working as part of a trade team delivering to tight timescales.

·        Ability to record accurately work undertaken, record hours, materials and costs. This

·        may be via paper or electronic submission.

·        Ability to undertake physically demanding work.

·        Asbestos awareness.

·        Driving licence
