Working within a busy hotel and restaurant environment, you’ll be part of a kitchen delivering high-quality food across restaurant service, private dining and events.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen and maintain consistently high standards across the operation.

• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen

• Leading the kitchen team during busy services

• Ensuring food is prepared, cooked and presented to an excellent standard

• Supporting menu development and introducing new ideas

• Maintaining strong food safety, hygiene and allergen standards

• Managing kitchen sections and ensuring service runs smoothly

• Supporting stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation

• Training, mentoring and developing junior chefs

• Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Sous Chef who is confident leading a team and working within a quality hotel or restaurant environment.

• Previous experience as a Senior Sous Chef, Sous Chef or strong Chef ready for the next step

• Experience working within a quality hotel, restaurant or similar hospitality environment

• A genuine passion for high-quality food and seasonal produce

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Excellent organisation and the ability to remain calm during busy service

• A positive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example

• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures

• A passion for developing junior members of the kitchen team
