Sports Coach – Secondary Schools, Smethwick

Location: Smethwick
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-time or Part-time | Agency / Supply Work

Are you a Sports Coach looking to use your skills and experience within a school environment?

We are looking for enthusiastic, confident and energetic Sports Coaches to work across secondary schools in Smethwick and the surrounding area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a background in sports coaching, physical education or working with young people who would like to gain valuable experience within secondary schools.

The Role

Depending on the needs of the school, you could be:

• Supporting and delivering PE and sporting activities
• Supervising secondary school classes as a Cover Supervisor
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and keeping students on task
• Using your coaching and leadership skills to positively engage pupils
• Supporting positive behaviour within the classroom and around school
• Working with different year groups and abilities
• Gaining experience across a variety of secondary school settings

What We’re Looking For

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

• Have experience in sports coaching, PE or working with young people
• Have a passion for sport, education and helping young people succeed
• Are confident leading and managing groups
• Can build positive relationships with secondary-aged pupils
• Are enthusiastic, reliable and professional
• Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Hold relevant sports coaching qualifications, where applicable

As this is agency-based work, you could have the opportunity to work across different secondary schools in and around Smethwick.
