Human Resources Advisor

We are seeking a motivated and professional HR Advisor to join our dedicated People Team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work closely with Headteachers and senior leaders, providing expert HR advice and support across a range of employee relations and people management matters.

You will be involved in all aspects of HR casework, delivering a proactive, customer-focused service both remotely and in person. Ensuring compliance with employment law, Trust policies and best practice, you will play a key role in supporting our academies to create positive and productive working environments.

Previous experience of working within the education sector is not essential; however, knowledge of school terms and conditions would be highly advantageous.

The successful candidate will:

• Provide advice and support to academies across a wide range of employee relations matters, including capability, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, restructuring, safeguarding, dignity at work, equality, diversity, sickness absence and other attendance-related cases, escalating complex matters where appropriate.
• Support academies in ensuring compliance with employment legislation and Trust policies, delivering consistent and pragmatic HR advice.
• Assist in the delivery and monitoring of the HR Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), ensuring a high-quality and value-for-money service.
• Support the maintenance of safeguarding procedures, including the Single Central Record, helping to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pupils.
• Review and verify contractual variations and other employment-related changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Build effective working relationships with leaders and colleagues across the Trust, providing a responsive and professional service.
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality at all times.

• You will be an experienced HR professional with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, capable of managing a varied workload and building positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• While experience within the education or charitable sector would be beneficial, it is your ability to provide trusted advice, work with integrity, make sound decisions and foster strong partnerships that will be key to your success.
• Most importantly, you will share our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
