Mechanical Project Manager

Overview

Atkins Search are currently working with an M&E contractor to recruit a Mechanical Project Manager to join their team. Plumbers and Pipe Fitters looking to come off the tools and step into Project Management will be considered.

Client

Based in Nottingham, our client hold over 100 years within the mechanical and electrical industry offering services on Commercial, Industrial, Heritage, Residential, New Build and Refurbishment Projects on behalf of major clients.

Role

To deliver a quality service and product to clients in line with the project goals by working with the wider project team.

Responsibilities

Project manage the installation of mechanical service installations on multiple projects with values ranging from £10k - £1M.
Manage multiple tenders and projects throughout various stages.
Procurement of materials and labour, obtaining quotations and negotiations.
Organising and managing direct labour and subcontractors.
Identifying, documenting, and costing project variations.
Compiling final accounts and liaising with Quantity Surveyors.
Establishing and maintaining client relations.
Undertaking Risk & Method Statements.
Carry out site surveys and prepare reports.
Diagnose onsite issues and advise on work required.
Attend/Lead Site and Client Meetings as required.
Co-ordination with all trades.
Ensuring all work meets with expected standards.
Client handovers and demonstrations.
Quality control.
Person

Previous experience within the mechanical industry such as plumbing or pipe fitting
General knowledge of heating, air conditioning, pluming, and BMS systems
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
