Production Operative

Production Operative - Immediate start.

We are working alongside one of our clients based in Abingdon, Oxford who are looking for a Production Operative to join their team on a temp to perm basis.

The Production Operative is responsible for the assembly of products and related components within a manufacturing environment. The role requires a high level of accuracy, quality awareness, and adherence to established production processes to ensure products are manufactured to the required standards and delivered on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out assembly work in line with engineering drawings, specifications, and production instructions.
• Operate in a structured and organised manner while meeting production schedules and deadlines.
• Inspect components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet required quality and performance standards.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection and quality records as required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth running of production activities.
• Take ownership for the quality of work produced and ensure established quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Follow all documented manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and operational guidelines.
• Comply with all Health & Safety policies and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Undertake quality assurance responsibilities, including the independent verification and release of products where authorised.
• Identify and report any production, quality or process issues that could affect performance or product standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Experience & Skills

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, assembly or production environment would be advantageous.
• Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing work of a high standard.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Comfortable working towards production targets and deadlines.
• Competent in completing production and quality documentation accurately.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing positively as part of a team.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 39 hours.

Pay Rate: £12.75 p/h (Weekly Paid)
