Thorn Baker Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader for our client based in the Lutterworth area of Leicestershire.
This is a hands-on leadership role, supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation and ensuring goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched safely, accurately and efficiently.
£35,000 per annum
6:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

As Warehouse Team Leader, you will provide day-to-day leadership on the warehouse floor, allocating work, monitoring workflow and supporting the team to achieve daily operational targets.
Working closely with the DC Manager and Supply Chain Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating daily warehouse activities and allocating workloads
Monitoring productivity and ensuring daily targets are achieved
Overseeing the safe receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of stock
Ensuring accurate picking, packing and loading of customer orders
Maintaining stock accuracy through stock checks and cycle counts
Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies and operational issues
Ensuring warehouse equipment is used safely and defects are reported
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
Reporting accidents, near misses and hazards appropriately
Providing guidance and support to warehouse colleagues
Supporting the induction and training of new team members
Encouraging teamwork, accountability and high standards
Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes and ways of working
Previous experience within a warehouse or distribution environment
Previous experience in a Team Leader or Senior Warehouse Operative position
Experience coordinating day-to-day warehouse operations
A valid Counterbalance FLT licence – essential
Experience operating multiple types of MHE would be advantageous
Experience working with large, heavy or fragile products
Good understanding of warehouse processes and stock control
