Service Engineer

Leicester, Leicestershire ACS Performance Ltd SERVICE ENGINEER - AUTOMATIC DOORS Full-time | Field Based We're looking for a Service Engineer to join a growing service team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs and upgrades to automatic door systems at customer sites. This is a field-based role suited to someone with strong mechanical and/or electrical skills who enjoys fault-finding, working independently and delivering excellent customer service. THE ROLE Your responsibilities will include: * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs * Diagnosing existing and potential faults using a logical approach * Completing modernisation and system upgrade works * Carrying out door safety checks and investigating incidents * Providing technical support to customers and colleagues * Recommending preventative maintenance, replacement parts and system improvements * Identifying opportunities for upgrades and additional service requirements * Completing all required service documentation accurately * Managing vehicle stock, tools, equipment, uniform and PPE * Following customer site procedures and health & safety requirements * Participating in an out-of-hours call-out rota * Delivering a professional and reliable service at customer sites ABOUT YOU Previous experience working with automatic doors is highly desirable, although additional training can be provided. Ideally, you will have: * Knowledge or experience of automatic door systems * Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge * BS 7036 / EN 16005 knowledge or certification - preferred * CSCS Card - advantageous * NVQ in door systems and repair - advantageous * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Excellent organisation and communication skills * A customer-focused approach * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Flexibility regarding working hours, call-outs and occasional weekend work If you're an experienced Service Engineer looking for your next opportunity within the automatic door industry, we'd like to hear from you
